2011:


February

Matt Thiel has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Rochem International, Inc.  In his previous role as Executive Vice President, Matt helped guide investment in building an unparalleled Quality and Compliance team in North America and China, as well as heading up a growing sales team and delivering successive years of sales growth.  In his new role, Matt will call on his nearly 20 years of industry experience to lead Rochem’s organization to a new level of growth and success in supplying quality raw materials from China.

 

 

2011:

February
Charles Dods, previously Vice President Operations Europe/Asia and Global Planning for Rochem International Inc., has been promoted to Executive Vice President.  During his six years with Rochem International, Charles has progressively grown in his responsibilities within the executive management team. He will continue to draw on his extensive industry experience to play a leading role in overseeing Rochem’s operations in China, Pharmaceutical New Business Development, and leading Rochem’s European sales team.

 

 

 
2010:

 

July

Rick Peterson has been promoted to Vice President, Nutritionals, Food and Beverage.  During his tenure with Rochem, Rick has brought a high level of professionalism, knowledge and support to the nutritional side of the Rochem business.  In his new role, Rick will be taking on additional responsibilities for business development, and sales strategies/management for the western half of the USA in the Food and Beverage markets. 


April

Mr. James Chen has been promoted to the position of Vice General Manager-Regulatory & Compliance for Rochem, Qingdao. In his new position, James will be responsible for Regulatory & Compliance matters in Rochem, Qingdao.  The regulatory burden is heavily weighted towards the API side of our business but James has, and will continue to make significant contributions in the food and nutritional areas as well. As regulators in these sectors become ever more vigilant, James's role and our commitment to providing unparalleled levels of compliance and regulatory support to our customers and suppliers will only continue to grow.
James received his M.Sc in Pharmaceutical Technology at King's College in London after graduating from the College of Medicine at Fudan University.  His experience prior to Rochem includes numerous years at Chemwerth China, Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group and Kunshan Oriental Pharmaceutical Co.  Mr. James Chen is an invaluable support to our partners in China as we strive to find cost effective, high quality, compliant solutions to our customer's requests. 

 

2009:

October 5th

Mr. Stephen Rivoir has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Rochem International.  In this role, Stephen will pick up additional responsibilities relating to overseeing day to day operations and spending time each week working in the NY headquarters office.  Stephen will be continuing to develop our food and nutritional sales and personally manage sales for key strategic customers in this area.  Stephen’s wealth of experience in managing, as well as expertise in business development and customer relations, have allowed him to be extremely successful with Rochem and have earned him the opportunity to continue to grow with the organization.

March 16
Mr. Robert Johnson joined Rochem in March of 2009. Most recently he was General Manager of Excipients at SPI Pharma with global commercial responsibility for special sweeteners. He has collaborated with multinational and regional Pharma and related distribution companies worldwide. Rob has an extensive knowledge of oral solid dosage form ingredients and formulation requirements. He has been involved with pharmaceutical and nutritional ingredients since he began his career in formulation and process development at General Nutrition. He spent an additional 14 years at the Perrigo Company, a leader in consumer health store brand products, in various management capacities. He has also held an executive management position with an international custom manufacturing company based in West Michigan.
 
2008:

October 16
Mr. Rick Peterson joined Rochem as Sales Director, Food & Nutrition. Rick joins Rochem with a tremendous wealth of professional management and sales experience in the nutritional industry. He established and ran US offices / operations for two European producers of vitamin products. Rick spent nearly eight years working in a sales capacity for Seltzer, an ingredient distributor on the west coast, and most recently had his own consulting business. He brings this vast experience and expertise with him to Rochem.
 
September 15

Mr. Steve Rivoir, Rochem’s Director  Food & Nutrition, was promoted to Vice President Food & Nutrition. This promotion comes after a very successful year growing Rochem’s business including several trips to China, and extensive domestic contract negotiations. 

April 28
Mr. Marco Durso joined the ROCHEM team. Marco has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for over 13 years. His early career was spent at Bayer Corporation where he led a team of scientists in various areas of QA/QC. Most recently, Marco spent 6 years with Chemwerth Inc. U.S.A. where he was the Sr. V.P. of Global Regulatory Affairs and Compliance. While at Chemwerth, he traveled extensively to China working with many of China’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Marco is committed to insuring that all of ROCHEM’s suppliers maintain the highest level of compliance and continue to provide products of the highest quality. Marco is recognized as an industry leader and one of the global experts in his field for filing regulatory submissions in both North America and Europe.  Marco’s expertise will allow Rochem’s customers to achieve the fastest approval times possible and avoid regulatory obstacles. 

2007:
September 18
Robyn Frisch was given the Honorable Citizen Certificate(Key to the City) of Yucheng, by the Mayor of Yucheng.  Yucheng is known within China as Functional Sugar city in the Shandong Province.

June 22
Robyn Frisch, President and CEO of Rochem International, Inc. was awarded the “Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award” by the Asian American Business Development Center. This award is the nation’s most prestigious Asian American business award program, highlighting the success of Asian American entrepreneurs and corporate professionals for their distinguished achievements in the field of business and recognizes those who demonstrate innovation, leadership and vision. Elaine Chao, U.S. Secretary of Labor, was the keynote speaker at the formal dinner event held at the Waldorf Astoria.


January
Mr. Charles Dods was promoted to be the Vice President of Rochem’s Global Planning & European/Asian Operations. Mr. Dods joined Rochem in August 2005, and is based in the UK. Mr. Dods has over twenty years of expertise and outstanding leadership in the pharmaceutical industry.

Mr. Wei Dongming joined Rochem’s Qingdao China Group as Regulatory Affairs Manager. Mr. Wei graduated from Wuhan University and worked for Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Group for over ten years holding various auditing and QC/QA positions. Mr. Wei is responsible for auditing suppliers and writing DMFs.
